Two road rage melees in the city have led to charges for a woman who s accused of stabbing a scooter rider and a man allegedly using a hatchet to smash a windshield Roxbury woman Danielle Stokes allegedly struck a man with her car and then stabbed him She has been charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon car and knife Boston police officers responded to a call for a person stabbed at Marvin Street and Shawmut Avenue in Roxbury on May at around a m Upon arrival officers detected a -year-old man lying in a pool of blood The victim reported officers that he had been stabbed and the cops saw lacerations on his forehead and hand Onlookers notified police that they saw Stokes and the victim fighting and called Surveillance video shows a gray Audi SUV driven by Stokes struck a man who was later identified as the victim on an electric scooter on Roxbury Street Stokes and a voyager later identified as -year-old Jacqueline Adeyemi then got out of the car and made their way toward the man As the victim returned to his scooter and began to move away Stokes allegedly made punching motions toward him Then a bit later the same SUV is seen on camera stopping in the middle of Marvin Street close to where the man was stopped on his scooter The man approached the car Both Stokes and Adeyemi got out of the motorcycle and the three began fighting Adeyemi is seen holding an unidentified object either a bat or stick and striking the victim with it A warrant has been issued for Adeyemi s arrest She faces a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon At chosen point during the fight both the victim and Adeyemi were knocked down and Stokes was allegedly seen standing over the victim with an object in her right hand deduced to be a knife She allegedly made stabbing motions with the object while dragging the man along the street Both women were seen standing over the victim while he was on the ground unable to move The -year-old man was transported to Boston Health Center Eight plastic bags containing a rock-like substance considered to be crack cocaine fell out of the victim s pocket as he was being treated by crisis department personnel The man will be summonsed to court on a charge of possession to distribute cocaine subsequent offense This was a chaotic continuing episode taking place in the middle of the street with luckily eyewitnesses present and surveillance cameras nearby Suffolk DA Kevin Hayden declared Anyone thinking they can engage in violent conduct in this day and age with no chance of being observed is kidding themselves The judge ordered Stokes held on bail She s due back in court on July for a pre-trial hearing Related Articles Crime Briefs Framingham man determined guilty of stabbing his wife to death In a separate situation last month a -year-old Belmont man allegedly smashed another motorist s bicycle with a hatchet A dangerousness hearing was held in Brighton BMC on Thursday for Andrew Oprian who has been charged with assault with a dangerous weapon hatchet and malicious destruction of property over On May at about p m Oprian and a second motorist were driving down Commonwealth Avenue when the other driver tried to pass Oprian who was allegedly driving mph and swerving back and forth Oprian allegedly became angry after he was passed and he drove the victim off the road and into a tree While the victim was in the car and disoriented from airbags deploying Oprian allegedly walked to the victim s car and struck it numerous times with a hatchet shattering its windshield He then fled the scene The circumstance was caught on multiple surveillance cameras and cell phone videos Anyone watching this video can understand how terrified the victim must have been and how dangerous the whole situation was Hayden disclosed We are selective in moving for dangerousness findings and this is a occurrence where seeking such a finding is entirely justified The judge took the dangerousness matter under advisement and was expected to deliver his finding on Monday
