Suspect arrested in Summit County wildfire that closed I-70

One person was arrested Sunday in connection with a weekend wildfire near Frisco that temporarily shut down part of Interstate city administrators revealed The fire sparked just before p m Saturday on masses land off of I- in Frisco according to a news release from city agents It burned about acres outside of a Whole Foods on Meadow Drive before it was contained mostly on the Meadow Creek conservation easement personnel explained in the release The nearly -acre easement was designated in and includes wetlands river banks and floodplains Police arrested a suspect Sunday afternoon on suspicion of starting the fire intentionally according to the release The suspect has not been publicly identified but investigators believe they re not from the area No injuries or structural damage had been announced as of Monday but the wildfire remains under scrutiny Get more Colorado news by signing up for our Mile High Roundup email newsletter
